I wanted to become a fitness instructor because movement has always been a huge part of who I am. Growing up dancing and cheerleading, I learned early on how empowering it feels to connect with your body, push your limits, and express yourself through movement. I love how exercise can completely boost your mood, elevate your confidence, and make you feel capable. I have always wanted to share that feeling and passion with others.
My favorite part about teaching at Barre Groove is the energy in the room. I’ve always loved the feeling of moving with a group, when everyone is pushing together and feeding off each other’s motivation.
Cheerleader (obvious choice for a former cheerleader? 😆)
You can expect a mix of pop princess and hard-hitting beats. I want the class to be able to sing along but also hit each move with confidence.
There’s nothing like taking a long, hot shower after a hard class! Follow that up with cuddles from my two cats and that’s a perfect post-class recovery routine.
I would say to embrace the bounce! It’s a new type of workout to most people and it can be challenging. Your legs may shake and your balance will be tested, but the workout is worth it and unlike any other group fitness class I have taken. It’s what keeps us coming back!
I did archery growing up. My grandfather used to take my brother and me to the range. I had my own hot pink bow with pink and orange arrows.
Electric. Barre Groove has the perfect mix of great music, awesome workouts and inspiring community. I always come home feeling great after working out and spending time with amazing people.
