Barre Groove Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: January 2, 2026Welcome to Barre Groove! By booking a class, purchasing a membership, attending an event, or otherwise interacting with our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all locations and services provided by Barre Groove, including our studios at Downtown, Southie, and Back Bay.
1. Membership Terms
Barre Groove offers monthly memberships with a minimum commitment period (e.g., 3, 6, or 12 months), as outlined during sign-up. Memberships automatically renew month-to-month after the commitment period ends unless canceled.
For complete terms, including billing frequency, cancellation fees, freeze options, and early termination penalties, refer to your signed Membership Agreement, which is emailed to you at the time of purchase.
If you need help retrieving a copy, email us at info@barregroove.com.
2. Class Cancellation & Waitlists
Our class cancellation windows vary depending on the format:
- Standard Classes: Cancel at least 8 hours before the class to avoid penalties.
- Bounce at Bijou Events: Cancel at least 18 hours in advance.
Waitlists: If you join a waitlist, you are committing to attend. If a spot opens up, you may be automatically added to the class up to 2 hours before the start time. While we make our best effort to confirm your spot via text, it remains your responsibility to check your status. If you are added and fail to attend, standard fees apply.
Fees: No-shows and late cancels result in fees or loss of credits. For specific fee details, please view our Cancellation Policy.
3. Late Arrival Policy
For your safety and to preserve the class experience, we do not permit entry more than 5 minutes after class begins. Clients who arrive past this window may be considered a “No Show” and charged accordingly. Please plan ahead for Boston traffic and parking.
4. Liability Waiver & Age Requirements
Participation in Barre Groove classes requires acceptance of our Liability Waiver. You can review the full waiver here.
Age Requirement: Clients must be at least 18 years old to attend classes. Barre Groove does not permit participation by minors under the age of 18.
5. Freezes & Refunds
Memberships may be frozen for a minimum of 10 days at a rate of $10 per 10-day increment. Freeze time does not count toward your commitment period (unless medically necessary). Refunds are not issued for cancellations, missed classes, or unused credits.
Merchandise: Unworn merchandise with tags may be returned for store credit within 14 days. All sales on grip socks and water bottles are final.
6. Personal Property
Barre Groove is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Please keep valuables with you or leave them at home. Items left in the studio will be donated to charity after 14 days.
7. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Barre Groove collects and uses your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to these practices.
8. Code of Conduct
We strive to create a respectful, empowering space. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone violating our safety standards, harassing staff/clients, or disrespecting the facility.
9. Studio Closures & Schedule Changes
Barre Groove reserves the right to cancel classes, modify schedules, or close temporarily for holidays/maintenance. In the event of inclement weather (snow emergencies), we will notify clients via email/text as early as possible.
10. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
