What is your background in fitness?
After graduating college in 2018, I moved to Boston and immediately started teaching barre and other fitness classes in the Boston area. While at college, I was a member of the UMass Amherst dance team where I got to dance at football and basketball games and compete at College Nationals. After graduation, I missed the studio, the creativity, and the energy which are all things that teaching fitness brought back into my life!
What motivates you as a fitness instructor at BG?
As a client, I loved the sassy Barre Groove energy, and I loved leaving every class feeling like my best self! As an instructor, that will always be my goal. I teach every class to help push each of us physically, but I also believe that the best workouts aren’t just about the cals! I want each of my classes to be the thing that can mentally turn someone’s day around–where you can leave class feeling like a BOSS!
Describe yourself as an instructor in ONE word…
What type of music will we hear in your classes?
A lot of throwback hip hop jams and upbeat EDM beats
What’s your “go-to” drink order?
I am ALWAYS drinking some type of cold-brew coffee.. but if we’re talking alcohol, it’s spicy margs for me!
When I’m not teaching at the studio I’m…
… working at MGH where I manage the Interventional Cardiology Research Program
If you were stranded on an island and could only bring one piece of fitness equipment what would it be…
trampoline (bounce and a barre all in one what else could I need?)
If I had to give myself a superlative it would be…
LOUDEST (that was actually my high school superlative, and it definitely fits)
