What is your Instagram handle?
@casleggo
Why did you become an instructor at Barre Groove?
Our fierce squad leader, Alanna and I met on the sidelines as New England Patriots Cheerleaders! I was beyond excited when Alanna opened Barre Groove and I knew I needed to join the squad!
What is your background in fitness and/or dance?
I started dancing at the exciting age of two and grew to dance competitively and professionally at a young age. With a passion for sharing my love of dance, I started teaching at the age of 15 and continued my career as a dancer, choreographer, instructor, and judge for various professional sports dance teams, entertainment companies and dance studios. It wasn’t until Barre Groove until I found my love for fitness and can’t picture my life without a trampoline!
What motivates you as an instructor?
The BG squad! Our clients are all so amazing and we share a bond, like no other. While I may be motivating you because I’m the one with the microphone, you give off an energy that pushes me even harder. That push helps us grow together and it is so special to see someone transform in front of your eyes. Whether it be strength, confidence, or sassiness, it brings me so much joy to see it and be right there with you.
What type of music will we hear in your classes?
I love to play up-beat new, popular songs but will slide in a few throwbacks that’ll bring a smile to your face!
Describe yourself as a fitness instructor in ONE word…
SASSY! Aka.. Sassy Cass
When I’m not teaching at the studio I’m…
Monday – Friday, 9-5, you will find me in the Marketing department of a Commercial Real Estate firm in downtown Boston. And on the weekends, when I’m not in the studio with the squad, I love to go home to Connecticut to visit my family.
